My guess regarding the sensitivities is that they stem from poisoning.
Most of us used to have amalgam fillings in our mouths. And the mercury in these fillings is known from the
homeopathic drug picture, that mercury generally only has a small tolerance range!
And if we are exposed to this poison, mercury, for a long time, we slip into a mercurius drug trial.
This might also be the case with pesticides in agriculture.

I had to laugh about the sensitive nose, I'm right there with you.
I can already smell my neighbors when they come out their front door.
The laundry scents are so bad for me that I sometimes have to cross the street when walking the dog in town.
Conversely, I love all floral scents, even those that others find extremely stinky.

I just believe that these extremely synthetic fragrances are toxic for all of us. Fabric softener is as superfluous to me as a „goiter“ (as they say), nobody needs it - and yet so many people use it. I feel the same way about laundry scents as you do - I often cross the street because of them... Here, you have to take good care of yourself and perhaps provide a little education here and there, where appropriate, because many people are not even aware of how intrusive strong fragrances can be for others.

It is absolutely true that the denaturing of our society and the increasing toxin load represent a massive challenge for all of us that we must face. Mercury is still partly used in the form of amalgam fillings, but is also contained in many vaccinations as an adjuvant or as residues in large fish like salmon and tuna, because our oceans are so contaminated. And mercury is just one of many, many toxins we are exposed to. It is time for us humans to treat our planet, Mother Earth, more consciously and lovingly, in order to purify ourselves again. And everyone can start with themselves. Thank you also for the tip about homeopaths, we are also „working on that.“.
